Most product pages describe an aspiration. This one is a plain list instead: what Cirello actually does today, what's actively being built, and what it doesn't do yet - stated directly rather than implied or left vague.
We're doing this because positioning that overstates what ships is a debt you pay later, usually right when someone notices the gap between the pitch and the product. Better to just say where things stand.
What's live right now
Cirello runs as a web app today. Inside it:
- FSRS-6 scheduling, with parameters retrained nightly against your own review history rather than shipped once and frozen.
- Front-and-back cards, added one at a time or bulk-imported by pasting a list, with duplicate detection so re-adding the same card isn't a problem.
- Cards that can prompt from a real external source - a book, a copybook, a website - plus a per-card instruction like "page 12," instead of only typed text.
- Images on either side of a card, client-optimized, with a zoomable lightbox.
- A guided first run: a short personalization survey, built-in decks for common goals, and a spotlight tour that walks you into a real review session rather than an empty app.
- Folders and decks you organize yourself - your library, structured your way.
- English and Ukrainian, with the interface fully translated in both.
- Sign-in via email or Google.
- A remote MCP server, so an AI assistant you connect can work with your library within the permissions you approve. See Introducing Cirello MCP.
What's in progress
Cirello is a web app first. Desktop and mobile apps - iOS and Android - are in progress, built from the same codebase, but not released yet. If you're reading this on your phone hoping for an app-store link: not yet, but it's coming.
What's explicitly not built yet
Two things people sometimes expect from a spaced-repetition tool that Cirello doesn't do:
- Cloze deletion cards - fill-in-the-blank style cards generated from a passage. Not built yet.
- Automatic organization - some tools use embeddings or similar techniques to sort your material for you, removing the need for folders entirely. Cirello doesn't do this. Folders and decks are yours to organize, manually, by design for now - not a placeholder for a feature that's coming.
If it's not on this list as live or in progress, it's not happening yet - not a secret roadmap, just not built.
Why we're saying this so plainly
It would be easy to write around the gaps - lean on vaguer language, let a feature sound closer to done than it is. We'd rather you know exactly what you're signing up for on day one than find out later that a claim was aspirational. Cirello is a beta, actively being built, and this list will keep changing - we'll just keep it honest as it does.
